Well, this is it - tomorrow I hit the road!
Months of planning... and yet I'm still running around today like a chicken with its head cut off.
Changed the oil and oil filter on the KLR last night and rode into work with full panniers and topcase. It handled pretty well, although I could feel the difference when accelerating and braking.
I know I've overpacked, so tonight Mrs. HAL and I are going to empty out everything onto the floor and we'll see if there's anything I don't need. I know I packed too many tools - I can get rid of some there, and I probably have too many other doodads.
Depending on which minute you catch me, I'm either really excited or really worried. I'm sure that once I hit the road things will calm down.
