Operation KLRetrieval!

Things are coming together!

Went to the Pan Am clinic today to get my ankle checked, and everything's good! I can't even see where the break was on the x-ray anymore, and the doctor is quite happy with how it looks. He says it's going to be stiff and weak for a while, so I need to do some exercises, go see a physiotherapist for a little bit, and be careful because it will be easy to roll my ankle by accident.

Today's the first day since July 12th that I've worn shoes on both feet!

On a completely related note, I'm heading out tomorrow morning to Williams Lake to prep the bike and ride it home. It will be good to see BCB again and shoot the breeze with him and not need a ride to the hospital or the pharmacy!

If all goes well, the KLR will be fixed up and ready to go on Saturday morning. I'm planning on meeting a fellow Adventure Rider from Winnipeg there (who's being really flexible in his timings) and we'll ride back home together. It'll be nice to ride with another person!

No camping this time - hotels and motels all the way.

Safe riding!

(I'll know the odometer reading tomorrow!)
